Is this a divorce lawyer, or a form website?
Neither, exactly. Your documents are prepared and reviewed by an Oklahoma-licensed attorney - so they are not machine-generated forms. But you are buying document preparation, not representation: no attorney-client relationship is created, and we cannot advise you on what terms to accept.
What makes a divorce "uncontested"?
Both spouses agree to the divorce and agree on how to divide property and debt, and - if there are minor children - on custody, visitation and support. If your spouse disagrees on any of that, or will not sign, the case is contested and this service is not the right fit.
How long does an Oklahoma divorce take?
That depends on your county and your judge. With no minor children, an uncontested decree can often be granted shortly after filing. With minor children, Oklahoma generally imposes a 90-day waiting period after the petition is filed before the decree is entered, and the parents typically must complete a parenting class. Your filing instructions spell out what your county expects.
What is the court-acceptance guarantee?
Acceptance guarantee: if the court clerk or judge rejects your documents for any error we made in preparing them, we will correct and re-issue them at no charge. If the documents still cannot be accepted, we refund our preparation fee in full.
Does the price include the court filing fee?
No. Court clerk filing fees are paid directly to the court and are not included in our fee. They generally run $250-$300 depending on the county. If you add our filing service, we file the papers and set your hearing, but the clerk's fee still goes to the court.
Do I have to go to court?
In most Oklahoma counties at least one spouse appears briefly at a final hearing for the judge to grant the decree. Some counties will take an uncontested decree on the papers. Your instructions tell you which applies, and if you add our filing service we get the hearing set for you.
What if my spouse and I change our minds on a term?
Before the documents are finalized, log into your portal and update your answers - we revise and re-review at no extra charge. After the decree is filed with the court, changes have to go through the court.
How do I get my documents?
They are uploaded to your private client portal on this site. You log in with your own password, view every document, and download signature-ready copies as often as you need.
